I didn't always aspire to create jewellery. I admit I am definitely a crafty person, and I enjoy making things for myself, and for others. It gives me great joy to see someone using/wearing/enjoying the items that came from my heart. This particular endeavor stemmed from seeing a similar idea online one day, then searching for a place to purchase one, only to find they were sold out. I thought, "Hey! I could do that!". So after a bit of research, and purchasing a few tools and supplies online, I made myself one. I was so excited about it that I made some for my friends, too. A few people suggested I sell them, and well - here I am! I realize that what I do isn't unique, but I think that what I do is possibly more affordable that some of the others I have seen out there. At the very least, I might strive to have a local following of customers. I am not trying to go global here, just having a lot of fun! I know that I am most proud of my accomplishment as a mother of 2 beautiful boys, and wanted a way to express that for all to see. So now, I wear their names close to my heart...where they will always be, even when they are too big to cuddle with and steal kisses from.  |
